On 14 November we met with ROWENA for dinner followed by a slide show of her work. It was a delightful evening.

*****The next meeting will be SATURDAY, 12 January 2002. Yes __SATURDAY!!!__. The meeting begins at 7:00 PM and ends, officially, at 9:00 PM at the FLIGHTS OF FANTASY BOOKSTORE at 488 Albany-Shaker Road in Loudonville - next to the Rite Aid.

PAUL ABELL will be our guest for the evening. He will be discussing "Near Earth Asteroids. I've asked him to bring numbers about how big a bang one gets with different sized NEA's. Also the use of asteroids in SF. Please bring some comments and questions about stories you've read. We will be meeting about 4:53 PM at FoF for dinner before the meeting.

On Sunday, 27 January at 2:00 PM at the Flights of Fantasy Bookstore there will be an LASTSFA meeting, Flights of Fantasy 488 AlbanShaker Rd. (518)435-9337 The meeting is to elect the LASTSFA Officers for the next year. ONLY paid up members of LASTSFA may vote. Come on folk, it is only $10.

The next SFDG meetings will be on: Wednesday, 13 February 2002 & Wednesday, 13 March 2002

I hope to have Melissa Scott & Lisa Barnett here sometime during the first half of 2002.
