Dear Gentle Being, 3 MAR 2001
Welcome to the latest update, for events occurring at the SF Discussion Group.
On 13 February we met over at FoF and had a chat about Tolkein and the film. I brought some of my Tolkien goodies from the late 60's and early 70's, including some of my old Tolkien posters by Barbara Remington & Pauline Barnes as well as the 73 Tolkien calendar. We also talked about online publishing.
The next meeting will be Wednesday, 13 March 2002. The meeting begins at 7:00 PM and ends, officially, at 9:00 PM at the FLIGHTS OF FANTASY BOOKSTORE at 488 Albany-Shaker Road in Loudonville - next to the Rite Aid.
No speaker is scheduled, so come, and let's talk about what you are reading. Lunacon is the following weekend! See you there?
The following SFDG meeting will be on Wednesday, 10 April 2002 - Dr. Nicolle Zellner will speak on the Geochemistry of the Apollo Landing Sites and Evidence for Impacts Before 3.9 Billion Years Ago. "Dr. Zellner has been named one of NASA's Solar System Ambassadors. We will be meeting at FoF at 4:53 so we can dodge traffic going across the street to the Pearl of the Orient for dinner. Y'all are welcome to join us, but do let me know, so I can reserve enough spaces.
The following SFDG meetings will be on: Wednesday, 8 May
2002 & Wednesday, 12 June 2002. Working on someone for
