Welcome to the latest update for events occurring at the SF Discussion Group. As many of you know, jan has left for his walkabout around the country. In his absence, i will attempt to keep you apprised of our activities.
On Wednesday, 14 May 2003 we had a meeting and general discussion scheduled on the topics of copyright and property rights. Only one person showed, however, and the meeting ended shortly.
At 2:00pm on Sunday, 8 June 2003 the ALBACON concom will hold a meeting at the home of Christopher Ford, 310 Locust Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010; 518-842-7657; fcs@firstduty.com. Everyone is welcome. For directions, if needed, please call or email Chris. October is not that far away and additional help or ideas are always welcomed.
On Wednesday, 11 June 2003 we will meet at 7:00 PM over at Flights for an open discussion on Science Fiction. What have you been reading? What gems have you found that others should read? Bring ideas for authors you'd like to see visit the area.
On Wednesday, 30 July 2003 we will welcome Laurence Howard for a discussion of his new book The Identity of Diaconis Eprom published in February by Creative Arts. We will meet at 7:00pm at Flights of Fantasy. For those interested, we will meet at the store at 4:51pm and proceed to dinner from there.
